    Frequently Asked Questions.

Transparent answers about our process, pricing, and 90 years of tree care expertise in Muscatine County.

    Estimates & Pricing

Yes. All estimates are free and come in writing. You'll have an itemized scope of work with pricing before any work begins. No obligation.

We typically schedule estimates within 2–5 business days. For hazardous or storm-damaged trees, we prioritize same-day or next-day assessment. Call (563) 263-2155 for urgent situations.

We don't have a formal minimum. We assess every inquiry and let you know honestly whether the project is a good fit. For very small jobs, we may be able to combine your project with nearby scheduled work to make the trip cost-effective for everyone.

    Tree Removal

Yes. Our specialized crane allows us to lift tree sections vertically, over houses and away from powerlines, without tearing up your lawn or risking structures. We are experts in precision removals.

Yes. We offer stump grinding as part of a removal package or as a standalone service. We grind stumps to several inches below grade so you can replant grass or landscape over the area.

Cleaning up is our signature. We chip all brush, haul away wood sections (unless you want them for firewood), and rake the entire area. Most clients tell us their yard looks better after we leave than before we arrived.

    Tree Health & Disease

Look for thinning in the upper canopy, D-shaped exit holes in the bark, and increased woodpecker activity. If your ash tree looks sick, it's likely EAB. We can assess the severity and recommend removal before it becomes a hazard.

For most species, dormant pruning (late winter/early spring) is ideal. However, hazardous deadwood can be removed year-round. Oak trees should only be pruned in winter to prevent Oak Wilt spread.

    Safety & Insurance

Yes. We carry full general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We are happy to provide certificates of insurance (COI) for residential and commercial clients upon request.

We follow ANSI A300 standards for tree care and ANSI Z133 for safety. Our crew uses professional-grade rigging, climbing gear, and personal protective equipment (PPE) on every job.

    Emergencies

Yes. For storm-damaged trees on structures or blocking access, call (563) 263-2155 any time. We prioritize hazardous situations to keep your family and property safe.
